Cleary (ABC) From John Cleary: An Argument In the beginning God spoke the Word She's probably there but simply not heard Her existence you see is like Schroedingers cat It largely depends on just where you're at. Dr. Charles H. Lineweaver received a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1994. He was a member of the COBE-DMR team which discovered temperature variations in the cosmic microwave background in 1992. He is author of more than 30 articles dealing with the cosmic microwave background and an editor of the recently published "The Cosmic Microwave Background" (Kluwer, 1997). He has visited or lived in 57 countries and speaks four languages. He was a semi-professional soccer player and has a degree in history from the State University of New York at Binghamton and in English from Brown University. He is currently a Vice Chancellor's Research Fellow in the School of Physics, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. John Cleary began his career as a broadcaster with the ABC in 1980 in Perth. He has worked as a producer and presenter of Religious Programs in Radio and Television in Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. John is best known to many for his regular Spirituality Spots with Angela Catterns and Jen Oldershaw on JJJ. From 1994 to 1996 he was host of the philosophy and culture program Meridian on Radio National. Currently John presents the Religion Reporta program concerned with the critical analysis of religion in Australian society. He is also author of Salvo! the Salvation Army in Australia, which was the winner of the 1994 Religious Book of the Year. John Cleary has also spent many years as an activist on ABC issues both with the Staff Union, and for two terms as Staff Elected Director on the ABC Board.
